Important
technical terms are:
- Satin stitch embroidery - Plattstichstickerei
- Satin embroidery is one of the oldest arts of stitching. In contrast to the crank embroidery which consists of only one thread, satin embroidery consists of a lower and upper thread. Through these two threads a very high load capacity and durability is created. The satin stitching is transferable while the crank stitching is not transferable during restoration
